A lot of plumbers in Tacoma want to use a price book, but won't tell you how much the price is until they get there. They charge prices that are in the $300/hour range after it is all complete, but you don't know that in advance. Lonnie gave me a labor price estimate in advance. He was fast and competent, and charged what he estimated. He was clear on what he could do and where he would recommend someone else for a job. He arrived right on time and did the job right, using high-quality parts. He is my plumber now.

Tacoma City Facts
The town was originally settled by pioneer and postmaster Job Carr, a Civil War veteran and land speculator who hoped to profit from the selection of Commencement Bay as the terminus of the Transcontinental Railroad. (A replica of Job Carr's cabin, which also served as Tacoma's first post office, was erected in "Old Town" in 2000 near the original site.)
Tacoma was officially incorporated on November 12, 1875. Its early hopes to live to be the "City of Destiny" were frustrated in the late 19th century, when the discovery of gold in the Klondike turned Seattle into a boom town, eclipsing Tacoma's early lead.
Tacoma is the county seat of Pierce County, Washington, situated on Puget Sound's Commencement Bay, Tacoma Narrows and the estuary of the Puyallup River.
